Jomblang Cave
Extreme travel? Why not! We have done something extreme again at Jomblang Cave which is located at Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. Maybe this place isn’t too famous for us, but many foreigners had visited it. Even when we visited the cave, only three of us were local among the sixty guests. Jomblang Cave was formed from the geological process of soil subsidence to the earth’s base. So, this cave is a bit different from the others, it’s a vertical cave! And, we would do caving to a depth of 60 meters by using a single rope. Yippee! However, you don’t have to worry because the operator will check the safety in…

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall
In the beginning… A holiday on Saturday was good news for us! Because we would spend two days on holiday *yippie*. In those two days, we could go farther away. We’ve planned on going to Malang for a long time ago because we’ve wanted to visit Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. This waterfall characteristic is its water flow widened like a curtain, so that it is often called as East Java’s Niagara Waterfall. It was started from my fault because I didn’t search for the information thoroughly. And, our driver said that the terrain was extreme! *speechless*. However, we still went there because of the beautiful scenery. And that was how our…

Lasem
Visiting Lasem City There is a small town in Rembang district, Central Java which we want to explore. Its ancient China-Dutch style buildings makes us feel like going back to the past This time, we try to explore Lasem City, (after some adventure activities 😉 ) which is located in Rembang district, Central Java. This small town makes us feel like going back to the past by its China-Dutch style ancient buildings. One Sunday morning, we went to Lasem by car via the nearest route. It was from Solo-Purwodadi-Pati to Rembang and it took about four hours. Because many large vehicles went through this route, you would find a lot…

Kedung Kayang Waterfall
Happy Saturday! 😀 That Saturday, I skipped work to attend an event at Salatiga. But, I still took some time to enjoy our nature’s beauty (I always had some reasons for refreshing 😀 ). Before we decided to visit Kedung Kayang Waterfall at Magelang, Central Java, I had searched some information in social media. For me, this place had a unique view because this waterfall and Mount Merapi could be caught in one frame. A view along the road to the waterfall It was about two hours from Solo to Kedung Kayang Waterfall by car. We went through a winding road between Mount Merapi and Merbabu which had a beautiful…

Labuan Bajo (Part. 3) – Padar, Komodo, Kanawa Island and Pink Beach
Our last day in Labuan Bajo I wanted to be here for another day, but this day was the last day *sigh*. So, I only could enjoy what’s gonna happen 😉 . Okay! Back to the reality on our third day. We started at 8 a.m. from the hotel. We would get on board towards Padar Island which is really famous in Labuan Bajo. In my opinion, it is better to go earlier or it will be hotter during the day. This time, we took a speed boat because of the further distance than yesterday. According to our guide, the best time to visit here is from March to April…

Labuan Bajo (Part. 2) – Kelor, Rinca and Kalong Island
Good morning from Labuan Bajo! Labuan Bajo Harbour Today we would meet the blue sky and the blue ocean all day. What a happy day! 😀 It was 8 a.m., and we would get on board towards Kelor Island. In our local boat, there were two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a kitchen where the boat’s crew cooked lunch for us. They served us with complete facilities so, don’t forget to keep the boat clean 🙂 Before we arrived on Kelor Island, we could prepare our sunglasses, hats and applied some sunblock because it was so hot here. The sun shone brightly, and there were only a few trees here, so…

Hi, Labuan Bajo! This year my family and I spent our holiday in Labuan Bajo, which is known for its dragon, Komodo dragon. Labuan Bajo located in Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. We started this trip from Surabaya and had a direct flight to Labuan Bajo because there wasn’t a direct flight from Solo (my hometown). After one and a half hours of flying, we arrived in Labuan Bajo and were welcomed by our local guide. The first place that we visited was Gua Batu Cermin, which located near Komodo airport. Komodo Airport Headed to Batu Cermin Cave Only in a few minutes, we arrived in Gua Batu Cermin.…
