Kedung Kayang Waterfall

That Saturday, I skipped work to attend an event at Salatiga. But, I still took some time to enjoy our nature’s beauty (I always had some reasons for refreshing 😀 ). Before we decided to visit Kedung Kayang Waterfall at Magelang, Central Java, I had searched some information in social media. For me, this place had a unique view because this waterfall and Mount Merapi could be caught in one frame.
It was about two hours from Solo to Kedung Kayang Waterfall by car. We went through a winding road between Mount Merapi and Merbabu which had a beautiful scenery.
We had arrived! 😀
The most important part is wherever you will go (up or down), please choose the right way (down direction). You will find a crossroad after walking a few steps and now, you can choose wherever you want to go (up or down). That day, we chose the left direction because we wanted to see the view from above. Evidently, the way down was steeper and we would climb a stairs again. And actually, those two ways ended in the same place.
Finally, we arrived and immediately saw this beautiful scenery. Fortunately, we came here when the weather was good, so the Mount Merapi was clearly visible. It was free if you took a photo or stood on the photo spot. But, you would have been charged if you took a selfie photo there (there were two selfie spots).
I was a little surprised to meet three strangers there. I thought, this place wasn’t too famous for foreigners (maybe?!). But, It’s still worth to visit this place because of its amazing view. Come here quickly! Before the others come 😉 (JUNE 2019)
